"A man's interest in a single bluebird is worth more than a complete but dry list of the fauna and flora of a town."
Henry David Thoreau
Teaching Philosophy
Having grown up in numerous different school systems and having both good and horrible teachers, I have built a philosophy on what I valued most in my education. While I certainly attempting to teach your child the material required for them to move to the next level in school and ultimately become a competent well educated citizen in our society, I also value the need for students to have intellectual self discovery while in the classroom. Helping students express themselves and discover what they are truly compassionate about in life is something I think is crucial in one's adolescent education. I look forward to working with and getting to know your children this coming school year.
